Dexter and Tucker in our van on the way to our house.

Dear Mommy and Daddy,
Grandma told me she used to give you a notebook so you could write about the fun things you were doing in the summer. I can't write so Grandma offered to help me.
They have a nice big yard here with lots of room to run. There is a nice dog on the other side of the fence. She looks like me and Tucker. Her people call her Molly. I like it when she comes out. She runs along the fence on her side and we keep up on our side. It is fun but I miss our pool. Grandpa got the hose out yesterday when it was hot but it isn't as much fun as jumping in the cool water.
Every morning about 6:30, I get Grandma up so she can let us out. It is cool then and really nice. Buddy and Wiggles don't get up until later. I guess Grandpa and Grandma don't have to go to work like you do so they don't get up until later and that is what Buddy and Wiggles are used to. Me and Tucker have the whole yard to ourselves. I like it but it can get boring because they don't have any toys. I found some flower pots Grandma had behind the shed. They aren't as much fun as a bone but they were better than nothing. I chewed them up pretty good and made lots of little pieces. When Grandma saw what I did, she said she hoped I didn't swallow any pieces. I don't think I did.
Today we flattened some of the flowers for Grandma. I don't think she appreciated our efforts because she didn't look very happy when she saw the flowers lying on the ground. She didn't yell at us though; she just looked sad.
Even so, she took me for a nice long walk. She said it is called The Greenway. It was nice and there were some shady places. I saw two rabbits. Grandma wouldn't let me chase them. That would have been really fun. She told me I was walking nicely.
Grandpa tried to play with us. He got a hockey stick and a ball. I can get the ball and then I run around with it. Grandpa said that isn't how you are supposed to play but I don't know the rules. I thought you are supposed to get it and hang onto it. I like to play with the ball all by myself. After awhile Grandma took the ball and put it in the big box like you do. I tried really hard to get it out. If Tucker would help me by holding up the lid, I think I could reach it but he won't help me.
Grandpa makes us go outside before he goes to bed. He stays up later than you do. Tucker is already sleeping and Grandpa has a hard time getting him up to go outside. We like to sleep in the kitchen cause the floor is cool. Sometimes we get on the couch. Grandpa says he can't see us when we are on the couch cause we are black and the couch is dark. We tried to get on the bed with Grandma but Grandpa always makes us get off.
It's fun at Grandma's but I will be glad when you come home. I can't wait to go swimming again. I hope you are having fun. Grandma said you are going to a ballgame. Will they let you keep the ball?
I love you. Tucker said that he loves you too but he doesn't want to write anything.
