Day 4 - 3.36 + .95 km
It is best for me to walk first thing before I start anything. I know myself and I can find excuses not to walk if I get busy with something else.
It was another 'around the block' walk. When I leave the house, I am never quite sure which way I will go. Today I headed toward the park. I passed by some corn that is taller than I am. (I am 5'3")
Beside the driveway next to the corn there is an old farm machine with plants. The picture looks quite dark but the plants were pretty.

At the entrance to the park I took a picture of the path. Someone keeps the paths well maintained.

The building on the other side of the field is our arena. I haven't heard if there will be hockey or figure skating. I'm sure the kids are hoping.

I took this picture with the intention of following up in the few weeks with the same trees in their autumn glory. One of them will be very colorful. I think I take it's picture every fall.

The little bridge that crosses over a creek between the park and a neighborhood.

When I get to the corner, I will turn right.

A view of the main street of our little town.

The final sidewalk home. The white sign on the right is offering free plants. She also had some books for $.50.

I chose an African violet because the Christmas cactus I wanted was too heavy to carry even though I was almost home. I'm not sure where I would put it anyway.

Home. My daughter made my sign for my birthday.

My second walk was shorter. I didn't have any money when I looked at the books so I got some money and went back. I got 3 books and Himself got 2 or 3. He had followed me on his bicycle so he carried my book bag home. Isn't he nice!
I don't usually remember the names of authors I read but I do remember Karen Kingsbury and I enjoy her books so I am happy to get one of those and I already know others who will appreciate it when I am finished.

My total for September so far is 12.76 kilometers.
I almost forgot. I found a better picture of the decorated yard I mentioned yesterday. It is a cuter model too.
