Ugly Sweater Run

This morning was the 1st Annual 5 K Run in support of Windsor Regional Hospital’s Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit. The event was hosted by The Optimist Club of Windsor.

My husband took a short video as the people ran by.  Most were running. Near the end, there are a couple walkers.  The second one is me.  I am wearing a red sweater over my jacket and a white hat.  I had hoped I
would be able to run more than I did but I have not been getting as much exercise as I had been and this past week I have been making poor food choices.  This morning was my 'wake-up' walk.  I am aware that I signed
up to walk/run 10 K in September.  I have to start doing more to prepare.  If I wait until Spring I will have to start from the beginning again.

I am supposed to meet with my health coach Monday morning.  She will help me get back on track.  My biggest deterrent is my piriformis syndrome.  I was all right while I was walking this morning but had a rough
time after I was back in the car.  I took tylenol right away but my leg was throbbing.  Finally it settled down enough that I could sit without squirming.  I really need to figure out what I have to do to get control of this.
