I enjoy reading blogs. Some people have a real knack for writing. Sometimes I think I would like to develop my own blog and other times, I am not so sure. I still have trouble laying everything out there for all the world to see if 'the world' makes the choice to read it. I 'think' I want to know if anyone is reading what I write but I am still undecided. If I were to leave a journal lying on the table and saw my husband or one of the kids reading it, I would probably grab it from them.
I have goals and dreams. Do I want strangers to know what those ambitions are? Will that make me stronger and more determined? I wonder. I know (from comments) that there has been the occasional visitor. Would I be writing for feedback or just because I am enjoying the exercise? I suppose I could try writing more often to see what happens. Afterall, I will not discover what could happen if I do not post on a more regular basis.

I do wish you would write more often although right now that's the pot calling the kettle black since I'm not writing so often myself. But I do enjoy the things you write, I always read and am always grateful when you comment on my posts letting me know that you have read them! I do ask myself the same question from time to time about why I write. At first, it truly was for the exercise of writing as it helped me formulate thoughts about actions I needed to take or perhaps, habits I needed to change, establish or prioritize. But over the years, I continue to write because of the relationships I've developed. It's a different kind of friendship, but still a bond that is meaningful to me.
ReplyDeleteHi Judy, Like Sharon (a friend of mine) said---we'd love for you to post more often. BUT--also like Sharon, I don't blog as much as I did years ago... I love blogging and could never run out of something to say (HA), but I also have many other interests and have to balance out all of my interests. How can anyone who is retired be as busy as I am????? ha ha ---BUT--I do love being busy and love my life.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started blogging, another blogger told me that I needed to blog regularly and visit others regularly if I wanted to get followers and get to know people.. I did just that ---and have developed a large group of friends and regular followers... I love my blog friends and we have met about 18 of them SO FAR....
Have a great week.... Got snow up there?
Hugs,
Betsy
