This is the outside of our home for the week. After we got unpacked, we took a trolley to downtown Gatlinburg. We did some tourist 'stuff' walking in and out of stores that caught our fancy. A dog t-shirt supporting her husband's favourite football team caught K's eye so that was one store we went in to look around.
I thought the sign was cute. We didn't buy anything. They now have doggie strollers for little dogs. We have actually seen one in use. K. has two black labs so needless to say a doggie stroller is NOT what she needs.
It was getting warm. The temperature in Gatlinburg this week has been unseasonably high. We stopped at a wal-mart to get me a pair of lighter pants. My jeans are just too warm for the weather.
This trolley is like the one we took downtown and later back to where we had left the car parked. It was $.50 each, each way. There is also some kind of pass that allows you to use the trolleys all day for $2. We haven't done that because after the first day, we used the van to go exploring.
I took this through the trolley window on our way back to the van.
We shared a sub sandwich while we were downtown. There was a grocery store across from where we had parked the van so we did some shopping for our needs before going 'home'. We had a store-prepared pizza that first night. It wasn't too bad.
Daughter made use of the pool and hot tub. By then I was too tired to get changed and go with her. We were both in bed by 10.
