Watching the Bird Feeder

We did not fill the bird feeder until sometime in January.  Until then, there wasn't much snow and the birds could find food.  When we had a storm, it was decided it was time.  The birds didn't notice the installation for a few days but we are noticing more activity after the cold spell we had last week.

 Max really enjoys watching the birds.  His thoughts may be quite different from ours.   From the angle of the picture, it seems like he cannot see but he can.

 I took this picture this morning.  Notice how the snow has been melting yesterday and today.  In the background you can see our neighbour and his little boy.  They had built a nice snowman but this morning they were busy knocking it down.

 After his aerobic stretching exercise, Mr. Squirrel needed to stop for a rest.

 Later we looked out to see another squirrel making his attempt to secure some bird seed.

He did it.  It is amazing how they can hang on to the post like they do.
