My special friend died in December 18. When we got together we would talk about everything with our husbands being near the top of the list. We would unload about the quirks and things they do that annoy us. Many of those things were common traits in both men. (I have a feeling those annoyances are similar in most men but that is beside the point.) Sometimes when I am feeling particularly 'pushed down', I wish I could talk to Carol. SparkPeople was like that for me. So many of us had similar problems with food and our eating habits. We could 'talk' to others who understand and sometimes that was all that was needed to help us get back on track.
Later, I went to see SparkPeople.com to see what it looked like and this is what I found.
Life will go on and I will adjust but today I am feeling sad. Thank you SparkPeople for being there so I could find the people who became a special part of my life.
I will remember:

I really appreciate that we were given time to set up new online “homes.” It’s heartening to look at my blog feed and be able to read what you just wrote today, and know that the community of kindred spirits is still out there. 💖
ReplyDeleteI agree. I am really grateful that they gave us time. The time went by so fast.
ReplyDeleteDitto!
ReplyDeleteAmen... grateful for all this site taught me and gave to me, not the least of which are my Spark friends. Grateful for the generous time to transition, too. I ended up having enough time to do more than I at first deemed "vital" for survival beyond Spark!

I'm glad we had time to make arrangements for post-Spark, and have the ability to stay in contact with folks who are sharing the journey to healthier. I'm also looking forward to new friends who expand my ideas about the journey.
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday!
