Goals for April

Here we are on the edge of a new month.  I think I say it every month, "Where does the time go?  How can it be a new month already?"  As we move from one month to the next, I spend a lot of time thinking about goals.  What are mine?  Will I make new ones for the new month or just continue doing what I have been doing?

I borrowed "The Flat Belly Diet" from the library.  It is interesting and I believe, do-able.  For now I will continue to follow DASH http://dashdiet.org/ .  We are coming to the time of year when we will have lots of fresh vegetables and fruit available and I will continue to work more of them into my plan.  One thing the Flat Belly book talks about is healthy fats.  I will try to use olive oil more often and maybe try to develop a taste for olives.

I have been going through everything in my desk.  It is an old teacher's desk we got from Hubby's brother-in-law.  It is too big to be upstairs so I have it in the basement in the laundry area.  It tends to collect junk on top.  I threw away several articles I had printed off.  Hubby would like me to toss everything including the desk but I'm not ready for that yet.  I will continue to work away.  I am not ready to let go of everything the way he would like but I am doing what I can handle right now. 

Time for bed.  We were up early this morning because he had to work.  He is off the next two days.
