I had lunch with Carol today. We enjoy many of the same things, including perogies with fried onions, bacon bits and sour cream. We went to the restaurant that serves them the way we like them. We had a good visit. We often talk about our husbands and discuss some of the things that cause frustration, those annoying little habits they exhibit that we don't understand like an inability to put a dirty cup in the dishwasher rather than somewhere close to the dishwasher. Many wives understand.
It is a lovely, sunny day but it is extremely cold. We have to leave the kitchen taps dripping because the pipes have already frozen a couple times this winter. Until last year, frozen pipes was never a problem. We are unsure why they freeze now.
While I was waiting in the hospital I got a few more rows finished in the baby blanket I have been knitting on sporadically over the last year. It is a good thing no baby is waiting. Perhaps I would knit more if it was planned for a specific child. For now, I am happy to have made some progress.
Supper will be easy tonight. There is chili in the crockpot. I made it on Tuesday when I wanted to have something ready when we got home that night. Because I came home alone, I put it in the fridge so that we could both enjoy it later which turned out to be tonight.

Hi Judy, Glad your hubby is home and that he knows what is wrong and hopefully, on the road to recovery... I'm sure that was scary for you both...
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great lunch with a friend.. My best friend and I will meet on the 25th for lunch... Can't wait.
Cold here too (zero on the deck at 7 a.m.) and we have a Winter Storm WARNING for tomorrow... Fun fun...
