Gone to the Dogs

Daughter is here for the weekend.  Son-in-law was going to be away at a hockey tournament and she wanted us to meet her new puppy.  This is Tucker and his son, Dexter.  She took the picture when the puppy was visiting at her house for a few hours February 1.  I was impressed that she could get both dogs to sit still for the picture.

Daughter and son-in-law spent a week in Florida.  Tucker stayed with us.  The puppy stayed with his mother until they got back home.  I think that was a good decision.  When they got home on February 16, their first move was to bring Dexter home.

This morning, Hubby was the last one to get up.  The dogs thought they would help.  It may be hard to tell, but there is a dog under his arm.  That is our Wiggles.  She is part Shih Tzu, part Chihuahua.  She turned 6 in January.

Buddy is part Boston Terrier, part Jack Russell.  He will be 10 in November.  Buddy enjoys having Tucker come to visit because our daughter is one of Buddy's favourite people.  He likes it when we go away because our daughter is usually the one who takes care of him.

And of course, there is also Tucker and Dexter, the newbie in the crowd.

Dexter and I are friends.  He can still sit with me but I can tell that he won't be able to do that for much longer because he is going to be big like his father.  Of course Tucker sees all the smaller dogs sitting on laps. I think he would like to be able to do that also.

On Sunday the 'extra' dogs will return home and our dogs will go back to their regular routine until the next time they are all together.
