Warmer Day
After nice weather last weekend, this week has been unusually cold. Yesterday I actually wore my winter jacket when I met Carol for lunch. After I was home again, I finished this quilt for Hospice. The co-ordinator gave me bag of scraps that had been donated. The little squares and half-square triangles were already sewed in the bag of scraps. Every time I worked on it, I would come up with a different combination.
More of the daffodils have been opening. I think there is a different one yet to open. The tulips are in bud. It usually gets very warm when they are in bloom. They don't like warm temperatures and don't last as long. Someday I would like to go to Ottawa during tulip season to see their display.
I wonder what we will do on Saturday. I plan to join the running group at 8 for a run, even though I haven't been out to practice. The Iron Hawk 5k is on May 9. I would like to do better than last year but I feel less prepared.
Even so....
I AM proud of what I have accomplished so far.
Hi Judy---love that lost quote about being proud of yourself all along the way!!!!!! Great pictures of your quilt and also the Daffodils. Ours are gone and so are the tulips. Our Irises are beginning to bloom now....
ReplyDeleteWe've had an unusually cool spring here too. I still haven't put out the deck furniture....Crazy weather.
Hugs,
Betsy
