50,000 Steps

My son, Brian, celebrated his 50th birthday on the 23rd. He wanted to do something significant to mark his day. He decided he would rack up 50,000 steps. He told us anyone who was interested could join him for any part of his run/walk.
I drove to the city this morning and walked with him. He had already run 10 km by the time I got there. We walked through the park and subdivision while we were waiting for my granddaughter to finish her shower so she could walk with us. I managed to reach 14,000 steps before I came back home. That was more than I have walked in recent days. He was heading out again as I drove home. My grandson was going to run with him to finish up.
At 8: 50 tonight he sent me a picture of his garmin which showed 50,134 steps. If I knew how to transfer the picture from my phone to my computer I would but so far I have not figured out how to do that. Needless to say, he is very tired. He says it was a good training day for the Detroit half marathon in October.
I am very proud of my son.
P.S. After I posted, my daughter figured out how to transfer the picture.
