Mother Daughter Vacation Ends

One week ago, Daughter and I were packing up to return home. Neither of us slept well Thursday night. We got up early, had something to eat and drove away. We wanted to get through Detroit before rush hour. We had tried unsucessfully all week to find out if traffic was moving well on 1-75 northbound because of the traffic slow-down we had seen on our way TO Tennessee.
We had a good trip. We had a brief slow-down around Cincinnatti, Ohio. There was an accident southbound (we saw two police cars) and then the stop in the flow of traffic in that direction. We were fortunate to miss both traffic delays both going and returning home.
Except for bathroom breaks, we did not stop. We had sandwiches and drinks in the car.
Cincinatti. We followed that green car for quite a distance.
Finally the Bridge to Canada sign we were looking for. We got gas, made a stop in the duty-free shop and then crossed the bridge. We were home around 3 p.m. Himself was surprised to see us so early. Daughter got in her car and continued on to her house which is another two hours away.
We had a wonderful vacation. I have enjoyed re-living it through sharing my pictures in my blogs this week.
