(I almost called this Tuesday because I feel like I am missing a day. )
Himself is safely home. Neither one of us is feeling tip-top right now but he does feel better than he did on Monday. He has an appointment in a couple weeks to see a gastroenterologist. Me - I am just tired. You wouldn't think that one late night could be so debilitating.
Today is my regular morning to meet with the Comfort Bear ladies at Hospice. We make small quilts and soft stuffed bears for the residents of the home. I was tempted to stay home to rest but Himself encouraged me to go. He figured I might want to get away from his grumpiness. When I got to our sewing space, I told the other ladies not to expect much from me. Actually, I think I did more than I thought I would.
But, once I got home, I went to bed for a good nap.
Thanks to my encouraging friends, I did walk both yesterday and today.
I'm sure you understand when I say it was tempting to stay home but you're right - I did feel better after getting out there in the fresh air. Tonight it was windy but at least it wasn't raining again (yet).
My sister and I are making plans to go to Newfoundland. I am flying to Halifax on May 27 and she will meet me. We are going right to the North Sydney ferry to travel to Port aux Basques. She has made the arrangements for places to stay in the Cornerbrook area and we will tour. I hope the weather in Newfoundland co-operates so that we can enjoy looking around until June 1. Let's hope Himself is feeling more like himself by then.
