Point Pelee

This morning I got up to the sound of my daughter's voice talking to the dog in the back yard below my window. She is on vacation this week and drove down yesterday afternoon to go golfing and spend the night with one of her friends. She had not told us she was coming.
It has been years since she visited Point Pelee and wanted to go. Point Pelee is one of Canada's national parks. Point Pelee is about 34 kilometers (approx 21 miles) from us. My husband and I have season passes and sometimes go there for a drive.

It was a good time to be there. There weren't many people around. The towers are closed because of Covid but we could walk on the boardwalk and we saw some wildlife. There was a light rain falling but it wasn't miserable. (Later, after we were back in the car, it was raining much harder.)
As we were leaving the Boardwalk, we saw another little family.
