Rotary Run to Remember 5K, September 2014

September 7

Sunday, September 07, 2014

It is only 7 p.m. but I am fighting to stay awake. It has been a busy day. I got up about 6:30 so that I could eat and get ready for the Harrow Rotary Run to Remember (5K). It was a beautiful morning.

My husband was still in bed when I left the house so I was surprised to see him later. He had loaded his bicycle onto the back of the truck and looked for us.
I was happy with my time. In the last picture, I am in the middle with a pink shirt. That is some of the group who walked and ran.

After we went home and I had my shower, we headed to the city. There was a boat event on the waterfront. There were a lot of people there enjoying the day. There were walkers and runners, people on roller blades and bicycles and even motorized scooters. It was a wonderful afternoon. We stayed long enough to see some of the boats racing by.

From there, we made a stop at the hospital. Sister-in-law is still in ICU but she had her eyes open today and seemed to know we were there. Hubby says he can see improvement.

It was a long day and I am tired but it was a good day.
