Beach Walk

Saturday afternoon my husband and I went for a ride on the Skywheel at Myrtle Beach. I will admit that I wasn't sure I wanted to get on that giant ferris wheel but it was not as bad as I thought it might be.

The wheel as I looked at it while Himself was buying our tickets to ride.

the view from our compartment as I looked to the left

the view as I looked to the right

Himself watching from our 4th floor balcony. I was finally able to go for a walk on the beach. Today was a nicer day than Saturday was. It was sunny both days but today was approximately 60*F. It felt good.

My new friend. He came close enough that I did not need to use my zoom.

I have a feeling that this little one was enjoying her first time at the beach.

I enjoyed watching these two kites. They stayed in the air for a long time.

The giant ferris wheel is in the background of many of my pictures.
We had been planning to leave Myrtle Beach on Monday morning. I was not looking forward to starting the journey homeward. We haven't even had time to get over the trip here. Tonight Himself surprised me but extending our stay one more night. I am glad.
And then we read on-line that there is a "Potential snow storm for Southern Ontario Tuesday and Tuesday night." Let's hope that we can avoid that mess. I guess that is part of the danger of travel in the winter.
