Friday Again

My sister and I have had a quiet week. She had a lot of paperwork to do to apply for her visa. We drove to the city on Monday to FedEx the papers to Ottawa only to receive a phone call the next day to say some of it was incorrect. She made her corrections and we went off the do another FedEx 'run'. No further phone calls so she is hoping everything is all right.
Monday after our visit to FedEx, we met four of her girlfriends for pizza. I had met all of them over past years so I enjoyed our time together too.
On Wednesday, my nephew's mother-in-law spent the night with us. She and her little dog are driving to Ottawa for a visit with her daughter and grandchildren (and my nephew too, of course - LOL) After supper we took her for a drive around 'our' area. She lives in Newfoundland so she is familiar with small communities. Of course I enjoyed the ride too because I like to check out all the old places when I am home. She left Thursday morning after breakfast for the next leg of her journey.
Last weekend when sister's other son and his family were here, we went for a visit to Heritage Models.
This is the tourist blurb about Heritage Models:
"Heritage Models Museum houses 43 Miniature models depicting the history, culture, industry and heritage of River Hebert and the surrounding area. The museum also includes the Days Gone By building with information, artifacts, pictures and memorabilia pertaining to the community."
The man who worked on most of the models died a few years ago. We are thankful for the work he did to help keep our history alive. My sister and I are already aware that we are forgetting some of the stories our parents and grandparents shared with us.
Some pictures of some of the models:
