My Test
Thursday, June 30, 2011
This morning, Hubby went to get some strawberries so I could make jam. While he was gone, I got my jars out and started to wash them. He came back with some beautiful berries and told me we were leaving to go to our daughter's at 11:00. (He told me a few days ago that he wanted to go and return the same day to see how I felt, in preparation for our summer vacation.)
The berries went into the fridge, I changed my clothes and gathered our bathing suits. We left at 11.
It was a lovely day for a ride. We like to travel on #3 highway. It is scenic and there isn't much traffic.
More of these wind towers seem to spring up every time we take this route.

For some reason, I find abandoned houses interesting. One time I created a story in my mind about the family who may have lived in this 'fixer-upper'. There are many such former homes on highway 3 as well as many farms.

We got to Daughter's in time to see Son-in-Law before he left for the afternoon shift. Doesn't their pool look inviting? I thoroughly enjoyed some time in it.

Daughter's tribute to her Maritime roots.
We had a good visit but now it was time to complete the second portion of 'the test' - the return home on the same day. Before we left, Daughter took our picture.

Oh yes, I passed the test. It is my husband I am concerned for. When we travel by car, I can relieve him for some of the driving. On the bike, he is totally responsible for getting us from point A to point B. All I have to do is sit there.
