I started gardening later in life. Now when my body protests, I wish I had started when I was younger. I still enjoy spending time out there, but I know I will have to start finding ways to garden that are less stressful on my body.
Many of my plants have come from friends. I like enjoying their beauty and remembering the friends who gifted them.
My lilacs are finishing but they sure were pretty.
Darlene gave me the start for the lilac bush. She also listened to me complain about our lack of rhubarb. When I was growing up, we always had a good rhubarb patch. Our first few years in Ontario, I had trouble finding rhubarb but then Darlene gave us several roots. Now I have my own patch and can share rhubarb with friends.
These days the iris are showing their beauty. I would like to add some different colours to my 'patch'.
I have several this colour because I have divided many of the plants.

I would like to get some more of the purple ones
And for something different a woodpecker that I was able to capture with my Christmas camera. It has a better zoom than the other camera.
