On Friday, my sister had her doctor's appointment first thing in the morning. Once that was out of the way, we headed out of town.
Our first stop was at Jost www.jostwine.com/ . A friend of ours works there. We knew she was giving a tour at noon. We arrived in plenty of time to look around the gift shop and check out the wines.

After we left the winery, we looked for a place to have some lunch. We found a nice area with several picnic tables and shade. I think my sister sensed that I was going to take a picture and turned at just the right/wrong time. LOL

We proceeded on to the bakery where Stephanie (a friend of my sister from Manitoba) works.

It was a lovely bakery/cafe that I would be happy to patronize if it was closer to home. The sunroom where they serve soup and sandwiches looks out over the water. On the sign outside it says, "You need our bread, We knead your dough." Stephanie was finished for the day. We went back to her place to drop off her bicycle and then went on to

If you like lavender, this is certainly a nice place to visit. Dave gave us a tour, explaining about how many kinds of lavender there are and how they use it.

I got a bar of lavender soap. Because I will be returning home to Ontario on a motorcycle, I am hampered in what I can buy.
I was practising using the 'sweep panorama' function on my camera.

It wasn't quite 5 p.m. yet, so there was still time to stop at the sheep farm.

After visiting the lambs in the barn, we went to the gift shop. I was tempted by the knitting wool but I was strong.
These beautiful petunias were in a planter as we entered the gift shop.
We drove back to Stephanie's place for a bite to eat before heading home.
We drove through some rain but otherwise the ride home was uneventful after our full day.
